The 42-year-old coach succeeded Vitor Matos in the 12th round and played 21 rounds, winning 13, drawing four and losing four.
Miguel Moita garnered 38 percent of the votes from coaches and captains of teams in the Second League. Sergio Fonseca (Academico de Viseu), who came in second in this distinction, received 29.5 percent of the votes. Luis Tralhao (Torreense), in third place, obtained 15 percent of the preferences.
