Investigations into José Mourinho and Rui Costa for criticizing refereeing decisions have also been closed.
The Disciplinary Council of the Portuguese Football Federation has dismissed FC Porto’s complaint against referee Fábio Veríssimo, submitted following the incident involving the referee from Leiria, in November, during halftime of the FC Porto-Sp. Braga match . On that occasion, the blue and whites denounced Veríssimo’s “threatening” attitude at the end of the Arouca-FC Porto match (0-4).
Furthermore, the FPF Disciplinary Council also dismissed the proceedings related to José Mourinho and Rui Costa, which targeted referees João Gonçalves and Tiago Martins after the draw in Braga (2-2) in December .
