Morgan Gibbs=White, Nottingham Forest midfielder, took to Instagram to show the scar he received from the violent tackle in Monday’s game against Chelsea.
It all happened in the 61st minute, during an attacking move by the Nottingham team: Gibbs=White collided heads with Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, and both players had to be quickly substituted to undergo surgery.
Robert Sanchez, who also showed the results of the collision on social media, also sporting a clearly visible scar on his head, accompanied a message directed at Gibbs=White:
I see you’re worse off than me, I hope you’re doing well.
It’s worth remembering that Nottingham Forest beat Chelsea 3-1 at Stamford Bridge, giving them a much=needed boost in their fight to stay in the English top flight. Chelsea, however, saw their chances of qualifying for the Champions League disappear with this defeat.
