Danish midfielder Hacken acknowledges interest from Sporting Lisbon and admits transfer could be imminent.

Silas Andersen’s name continues to gain traction in the Sporting CP transfer market, and the Danish midfielder himself no longer hides the fact that a move to Alvalade may be getting closer.

After Häcken’s draw against Elfsborg (1-1), a game in which he scored with a header , the 21-year-old player addressed for the first time in a more open way the possibility of joining the national champions.

According to the Swedish press, Sporting would be willing to move forward with a deal exceeding 100 million Swedish kronor, around nine million euros, and Andersen admitted that he has been following everything that has been written.

Of course I read about it on the internet, so it ends up sticking in my head sometimes, but I try to push it away as much as possible, Andersen admitted, before being directly asked about Sporting’s interest. It’s big, very big. It’s recognition for me, the young man stated.

Asked if he sees Alvalade as the right next step in his career, the midfielder was direct. Yes, 100 percent. It could be a very, very good place for me, he added.

Despite the opening left by the 21-year-old player, the decision still rests with the Swedish club. Andersen forwarded the dossier to Häcken’s sporting director, Erik Friberg, but left the impression that the process is well underway.

Maybe it’s close. Right now I don’t know much, but it could be. I’m sure Erik will keep me updated, said the Dane, who even joked about the figures reported by the Swedish press.

I didn’t even know it cost this much, but apparently I’m an expensive player, Andersen concluded.
