Alverca’s coach lamented the team’s ineffectiveness at the Dragao stadium, praised FC Porto, and sent a message to Sporting Braga.
In the aftermath of the defeat away to FC Porto in the 32nd round of the League (1-0) , Custodio revealed his dissatisfaction with the ineffectiveness of the Ribatejo team. In a press conference = on the sidelines of the celebrations on the Dragao pitch = the Alverca coach expressed his hopes that Sp. Braga would reach the Europa League final.

Congratulations to FC Porto on the championship, for everything they’ve done throughout the season. They have a very good coach. It was a tactical game, I wouldn’t say it was tight, we know that FC Porto uses the interior spaces to speed up the game, from back to front. We had to be perfect. We conceded a goal from a set piece. It’s not fair to say that we were only on top in the second half.
In the first half we had a good chance with Chiquinho. In the second half we had other good opportunities. FC Porto could have made it 2-0. It was a good game. We had a good plan to try and get the points. We were competitive. Unsatisfied with the result.
We didn’t score due to some indecision or bad luck; we had Chiquinho in some one-on-one situations. We had some success with that plan.
Sporting Braga in the Europa League
What we all want is for Sporting Braga to reach another European final. Anyone who loves Portuguese football wants that.
