Sporting complained of strong odors, FC Porto denies it.
Today’s match between ‘dragons’ and ‘lions’ started about 15 minutes late, after the Lisbon team complained of a strong odor in their locker room, which, according to lion officials, forced coach Ricardo Costa and player Christian Moga to go to the hospital.
FC Porto, which denied “absolutely, clearly and unequivocally“ the alleged incidents in the visiting team’s locker room at the Dragão Arena, accused, through its general director of sports, Mário Santos, the player Martim Costa of having assaulted a ‘blue and white’ supporter during the warm-up phase for the game.
The match, counting towards the first round of the second phase of the national championship, resulted in a 33-30 victory for Sporting.
