Real Madrid: elections scheduled for June 7th with two candidates.

The candidacies of Florentino Perez and Enrique Riquelme have been approved by the club’s Electoral Commission.

The Real Madrid Electoral Commission, meeting this Tuesday, approved the candidacies of Florentino Perez, the current president, and businessman Enrique Riquelme, and scheduled the elections for June 7th.

The Real Madrid Electoral Commission, after analyzing the documentation submitted by the candidates, has declared the following candidacies valid for the elections of President and Board of Directors of the club: Florentino Perez Rodriguez (member no. 1,484) and Enrique Jose Riquelme (member no. 41,736), the club said in a statement.

With the candidacies approved, the commission set the date for the election.

“The Electoral Commission has approved that the elections will be held on June 7, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., without interruption, at the Basketball Pavilion of the City of Real Madrid, located on Avenida Alejandro de la Sota s/n, in Madrid, where the respective polling stations will be set up, the statement also reads.

The two candidates will present their respective candidacies this Wednesday, first Enrique Riquelme, around noon, then Florentino Perez, at 7:00 pm.
