Benfica’s coach did not comment on the potential signing of Rafa Silva and instead analyzed the team’s Champions League qualification.

José Mourinho previewed Tuesday’s seventh and penultimate matchday of the Champions League group stage , at Juventus’ home ground . In a press conference, the Benfica coach once again dodged the question about Rafa Silva and commented on the Eagles’ current position in the standings.

Far from the Light, far from thought.

Rafa Silva? I don’t talk about players from other clubs. I only talk about Benfica players.

Is Juventus a final?

“It’s a final like any other game. Looking at the standings, I can’t say if we need three, four, or five points to continue in the competition. But this situation also relieves us of pressure. We know where we’re playing and who we’re playing against. We want to win. We have pragmatic hopes of qualifying and we want to leave with qualification open for the last game.”

“The economic situation has a very big impact and, obviously, economic power is concentrated in countries other than Portugal and in clubs other than Portuguese ones. I think the three big clubs in Portugal =without leaving Sporting Braga out = can reach Europa League finals. The last Portuguese finals in European competitions were in the Europa League. But in the Champions League it’s much more complicated. Just compare the markets and the most important transfers. “I think I’m right in saying that the only team to win a European competition outside of Spain, England, Germany, Bayern Munich, and the ‘poor’ PSG… It was Inter Milan and FC Porto. That’s my opinion!
