Sporting: Rodrigo Ribeiro leaving for the Bundesliga.

Forward Rodrigo Ribeiro is leaving Sporting in this transfer window and is preparing to join Augsburg in the Bundesliga, Maisfutebol has learned , following the information initially reported by journalist Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sport Germany.

According to our newspaper’s findings, the deal is a loan until the end of the season, with an obligation to buy based on certain objectives, for six million euros, plus a percentage of any future sale.

The deal is closed and the 20=year=old Portuguese striker is already in Germany undergoing medical examinations.

Having played in three first-team matches this season, Rodrigo Ribeiro is currently behind the main options at Sporting, namely Luis Suárez and Fotis Ioannidis. This season, he has had the most playing time and performance with the B team: 11 games, five goals and one assist.

This is the striker’s third loan spell, having previously played for AVS and Nottingham Forest in 2024/25 and 2023/24, respectively.
