Sporting have agreed to sign Pedro Lima, a 23-year-old midfielder, from AVS.
The deal was finalized for a fixed fee of four million euros, plus two million euros depending on variables. This means that the signing of the Brazilian player could reach six million euros.
AVS also retains a percentage of any future sale.
Pedro Lima will sign a contract valid for five seasons, until June 31, 2031.
Having come through the ranks at Palmeiras, the club he joined at age 13, the midfielder made his debut for the first team under Abel Ferreira: it was in 2023, in a Copa Libertadores match against Bolívar in Bolivia. Palmeiras lost that game 3-1.
After that, he was loaned to Norwich’s under-21 team in England and to Osijek in Croatia, before moving permanently to AVS at the start of this season. In Vila das Aves he played 26 games, scored six goals and provided two assists.
Pedro Lima is Sporting’s second signing for next season, following Zalazar, who was signed from Sp. Braga for 30 million euros and has already been announced as a new addition .
