Celta Vigo were winning their match against Valencia 4-1 in the 18th round of the Spanish league when, in stoppage time and with the game already decided, Valencia’s goalkeeper, Agirrezabala, suffered an injury. However, Valencia had already used all their substitutions, so Iago Aspas, a Spanish international and key player for Celta Vigo, asked his teammates to “slow down the pace of the game” and the referee to shorten the stoppage time.
Iago Aspas, a 38-year-old forward, has played 387 games for the Spanish team, scoring 165 goals and providing 72 assists.
