Nottingham Forest’s thrashing of Sunderland allowed the Portuguese coach to win the award for the second time this season.
Life is going well for Vítor Pereira in England. After taking the lead in the Europa League semi=finals against Aston Villa , the Portuguese manager was named Manager of the Week by the local Football Managers Association, thanks to the resounding victory in Sunderland (5-0) in the 34th round of the Premier League.The 57-year-old coach, originally from Espinho, had already won this award in March , after a 3-0 victory against Tottenham.
Nottingham Forest is enjoying a positive run of form this season. They haven’t lost a game since mid-April and are on a run of four consecutive wins across all competitions.
In the Premier League, they continue to fight to avoid relegation, now with a five-point advantage over the relegation places, with four rounds remaining until the end of the competition.
Vítor Pereira is still among the nominees for the Premier League’s best coach award for the month of April , alongside Nuno Espírito Santo, who manages West Ham.
