Hidemasa Morita and Zeno Debast could be promoted to the starting lineup.
The midweek Classico resulted in significant losses for Sporting. Against FC Porto, key players Morten Hjulmand and Gonçalo Inácio were injured in the first half, in incidents that have been widely discussed ever since.
What is certain is that both will miss the visit to AVS this Sunday, with Hidemasa Morita and Zeno Debast appearing to be the most likely replacements. Alongside the Japanese player in midfield, Daniel Braganca could very well play, given that Jooo Simoes is also injured.
Iván Fresneda is also still out injured, so Eduardo Quaresma or Vagiannidis will likely start at right-back. Due to rotation and the opponent’s circumstances, it’s quite possible the Greek player will be chosen. There’s even the possibility of placing Eduardo Quaresma in central defense alongside Diomande, leaving Debast on the bench.
