AVS avoids immediate relegation to the Second Division…by one …

AVS, bottom of the league, avoided immediate relegation to the Second League by drawing (2-2) away to Rio Ave in Vila do Conde, in the opening game of the 30th round.

The Vila das Aves team, currently in 18th place, now has 13 points and remains mathematically in the fight to avoid relegation. Thanks to this result, AVS, managed by Joao Henriques, remains in the top division for at least another night, but relegation could happen this Saturday, depending on the results of Casa Pia and Nacional = both with 25 points = which could condemn AVS if they get points in their home games against Santa Clara and Alverca, respectively.
