Tiago Djalo paved the way for Besiktas’ victory away to Gaziantep (2-0), in the opening match of the 32nd round of the Turkish League.
The Portuguese international made it 1-0 after just seven minutes, with a perfect header following a corner taken by Kristjan Asllani, who sealed the result shortly afterwards from the penalty spot (22m).
Djalo would eventually leave the pitch ten minutes before the end of the 90th minute, apparently due to a concussion.
At Besiktas, Jota Silva was also a starter, while Kevin Rodrigues featured in Gaziantep’s starting eleven.
In the standings, Besiktas reached 59 points and consolidated fourth place, which guarantees a spot in the next edition of the Conference League, while Gaziantep is tenth with 37 points.
Also on Friday, Rizespor defeated Konyaspor, with Diogo Gonçalves, 3-2. The two teams are now tied in the standings, both with 40 points.
