The Portuguese women’s national team climbed one position in the latest FIFA ranking update, released this Thursday, now occupying 22nd place. The Portuguese team’s improvement was driven by their historic victory over the United States (2-1) in October.
It is worth remembering that, in 2023, Portugal achieved its best ranking, coming in 19th place.
World champions Spain remain at the top of the rankings, followed by the United States, the current Olympic champions, and Germany.
