Union Saint-Gilloise surprises Galatasaray in Istanbul.

Until now undefeated at home, the Turks lose 1-0 to the Belgian champions.

After three defeats, Union Saint-Gilloise returned to winning ways in the Champions League group stage. In Istanbul, they beat Galatasaray 1-0 , who suffered their first home defeat in this edition of the competition.

The first dangerous attack belonged to the Turks, who hit the post of the opposing goal in the 27th minute with a long-range shot from Gabriel Sara.

The Belgians did the same near halftime, through Ross Sykes, and would eventually score in the 57th minute, through Canadian international Promise David, assisted by Zorgane. Despite both teams creating good scoring opportunities, the 1-0 scoreline prevailed until the final whistle. Union Saint-Gilloise now has six points in the Champions League regular season , three less than Galatasaray, who finished the game with 10 men after Arda Ünyay was sent off in the 89th minutes.
