Sporting’s forward, Luis Suarez, maintains a five-goal lead over Vangelis Pavlidis at the top of the Portuguese League’s scoring charts, after both scored in matchday 33, the penultimate round of the championship.
Suarez scored one of the goals in Sporting’s 4-1 victory against Rio Ave in Vila do Conde, reaching 27 goals in the league. Pavlidis scored to seal Benfica’s draw at home against Sporting Braga (2-2). Both scored from penalties. Begraoui, who completes the top three scorers, did not score this round.
