Shabab Al Ahli wins big and Paulo Sousa makes history in Dubai

Shabab Al Ahli, managed by Paulo Sousa, travelled to Al Dhafra’s home ground and thrashed them 5-0, reinforcing their lead in the Dubai League and setting a new record for consecutive wins in the competition (ten).

In the first half, Juma (nine minutes) and Ezatolahi (45+5 minutes) gave the visitors a comfortable lead, which they used in the second half to cement the difference and secure an even more comfortable victory. Guilherme Bala scored in the 67th minute, Breno Cascardo made it a rout shortly after, and Juma scored his second goal in the 77th minute.

With a total of 41 points, Shabab Al Ahli has a three-point advantage over Al Ain (38 points) and a 13-goal difference from the second-placed team, having conceded only three goals in the competition.
