A 2-1 victory maintains a two-point lead over Portimonense.

The fight to stay in the Second League continues fiercely, and Leixões managed to maintain their two=point lead over the relegation zone clubs after beating Feirense 2-1 in Saturday’s match.

The match began with a straight red card shown to Carlos Figueiredo, who was on the substitutes’ bench, and shortly afterwards the first goal came for the home team. Salvador Agra set up Rochez for the first goal, and the striker fired it into the back of the net. This lead was maintained until halftime, with more goals only coming in the second half.

After the initial substitutions, Leixoes managed to score a second goal through Salvador Agra, who, after providing an assist, also wanted to add his name to the scoresheet. The best Feirense could manage was to reduce the deficit in the 75th minute, thanks to a goal by Desmond Nketia. A somewhat bizarre goal, in which the goalkeeper failed to catch the ball, and it fell to the Feirense player for a precise shot. Thus, the visiting team occupies ninth place in the Second League (28 points) and now has a three-point advantage over Leixões, who are 14th.
