January is going to be even tougher than December, in terms of games. January is going to be even worse. The players want to play in the League Cup final. They just want to play. For me it’s more difficult, with so many absences it’s harder for me to rest some of the players as we wanted. It is what it is. January won’t dictate anything about the outcome of the championship. There’s a second half of the season, there are many games to play.
Flexibility in attack
We always try to be a balanced team in every sense. In the first half, Simões was more in the second line of defense. In the second half, I asked him to be more involved in two=on=two situations. As for offensive dynamics, that’s something we train. The game itself has a lot of mobility. And then there’s their individual quality. They know what they have to do. The overall behavior is collective, then comes the individual. No matter how much mobility there is, they know what they have to do.
