Removed from his position as head of Botafogo’s SAF (Sociedade Anónima Desportiva – Sports Limited Company) , John Textor was at the Mané Garrincha stadium watching the draw between Botafogo and Internacional (2-2) last night . The American businessman even disguised himself to watch the game among the fans and joined them in the chants, even when it was to insult the referee.
I’m no longer the president. I’m in disguise. I’m going to watch the game with the fans. They can take the man out of the presidency, but they can’t take away the man’s love for the club. I don’t think anyone will recognize me, said John Textor on Instagram, who documented his trip to the game with videos.
It should be noted that the decision that led to Textor’s removal from Botafogo’s management will be reevaluated next Wednesday.
