Geovany Quenda was chosen by the league coaches as the best young player in November, a month in which he provided an assist in two games (against Santa Clara and Estrela da Amadora). The Portuguese youth international took the corner that allowed Hjulmand to score the 2-1 goal in the Azores, in the 90+4th minute.

The Sporting Lisbon winger garnered 21.95 percent of the vote, beating out the competition from Gustavo Sá (Famalicão, 19.51 percent) and Pablo (Gil Vicente, 18.70 percent).

Currently playing his last season for Sporting = before joining Chelsea = Quenda has five goals and eight assists in 22 games, experiencing the best phase of his career.

To the dismay of Rui Borges and Sporting, the striker is only expected to return in February, as he recovers from an injury to his right foot
