Jorge Braz calls up 16 athletes for the final training of the year

Jorge Braz has called up 16 players for the final training camp of the year, in preparation for Euro 2026. Portugal has two matches scheduled against Ukraine.

The preparation games are scheduled for December 19th and 21st at the Dr. Eduardo Mansinho Pavilion in Tavira. Ukraine, it should be remembered, secured the bronze medal at the 2024 World Championships.

Benfica is the club with the most players represented in the squad, with seven athletes. They are followed by Sporting (with three) and Sp. Braga (with two).

Portugal, the reigning champions (2018 and 2022), are in Group D of the 2026 European Championship, along with Italy, Hungary, and Poland. Their group stage matches are scheduled to take place in Ljubljana.

Fixed players: André Coelho (Benfica) and Tomás Paçó (Sporting).

Fixed/Winger : Afonso (Benfica).

Wingers: Tiago Brito (Sp. Braga), Pany Varela (Benfica), Silvestre (Benfica), Lúcio Rocha (Benfica), Kutchy (Benfica), Pauleta (Sporting), Bruno Coelho (Riga) and Miguel Ângelo (Fortitudo Pomezia).
