Portuguese footballer Joao Cancelo made history in European football with Barcelona’s Spanish league title , becoming the first player to win four of Europe’s major leagues.
Cancelo, who is on loan from Al Hilal to Barcelona, won the Spanish league title in 2025/26, adding this title to his Italian league title with Juventus in 2018/19, three championships with Manchester City (2020/21, 2021/22 and 2022/23) and the Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich in 2022/23, the season in which he was loaned by City to the German team in the winter transfer window.
It’s an unprecedented feat in the so=called big=5 leagues, and to complete this statistic, the only thing missing would be the French league, which Cancelo never competed in during his career. But who knows, maybe one day…
