Inter returned to winning ways in the league with a resounding 5-2 victory at home against Roma on Sunday night , in a match of the 31st round. With Svilar in goal for Roma, Lautaro Martínez opened the scoring in the first minute. Despite some notable saves by Sommer, defender Mancini equalized in the 40th minute. However, forward Çalhanoglu scored a fantastic goal in the 45+2 minute.In the second half, chaos ensued, with Lautaro Martínez scoring his second goal in the 52nd minute, Çalhanoglu assisting Thuram in the 55th minute, and Nico Barella making it 5-1 in the 63rd minute. Between substitutions, midfielder Pellegrini reduced the deficit in the 70th minute.

While Lautaro Martínez remains the league’s top scorer with 14 goals, Marcus Thuram added two assists and a goal tonight, bringing his total to 13 goals and seven assists in 37 games for Inter.

Thus, Inter remains the leader of Serie A, with 72 points, nine ahead of Milan (2nd), who visit Napoli (3rd) on Monday . In the next round, on Sunday (7:45 pm), Inter visits Como (4th).
