Spanish defender lends his face to a bid to buy 100% of the Andalusian club.

According to The Athletic, a proposal from a group of investors led by Sergio Ramos to buy Sevilla is around 400 million euros.

The former Spanish international, who came through the youth ranks at Sevilla before making his name at Real Madrid, is the most visible face of a group of foreign investors, including a US fund, determined to buy the Spanish league club that plays at the Ramón Sánchez=Pizjuán Stadium.

This group’s proposal involves acquiring one hundred percent of the capital of Sevilla’s SAD (Sporting Limited Company), but it is still subject to a concrete assessment of the club’s debts, which will result from an external audit.

According to The Athletic , the main obstacle to this deal lies in the assessment of a loan that CVC Capital Partners made to most clubs in the Spanish league in 2021, including Sevilla, and whether that loan is included in the overall debt of the Andalusian club.

In addition to starting his career at Sevilla, Sergio Ramos also returned to the Andalusian club in the 2023/24 season for a final farewell season, before moving to Mexico to play for Monterrey.

In addition to his sixteen seasons at Real Madrid, the center-back also played two seasons at Paris Saint=Germain.
