Brazil: Artur Jorge makes his debut for Cruzeiro with a victory.

Artur Jorge began his journey at Cruzeiro in green. Green for victory, of course. The Portuguese coach’s team beat Vitória 3-0 in the early hours of Thursday morning. 

Dominating in shots and possession, Cruzeiro won with goals from Christian (32m), Kauã Moraes (35m) and Kaio Jorge (39m). Three goals that settled the game before halftime.

Thus, at the end of the ninth round, the Belo Horizonte team climbed to 18th place, still in the relegation zone. 

Artur Jorge, 54, is taking on his second adventure in Brazil after managing Botafogo in 2024.

In other matches played in the early hours of the morning, Bahia beat Athletico Paranaense 3-0 and Fluminense defeated Corinthians 3-1 .
