After the derby at Luz, the referee leads an all-Portuguese delegation.

António Nobre has been appointed by UEFA to referee the Panathinaikos-Plzen match on Thursday (8 pm), for the sixth round of the Europa League group stage. The 37-year-old referee – originally from Caldas da Rainha and a translator by profession – officiated the derby at the Estádio da Luz between Benfica and Sporting (1-1) on Friday.

The Portuguese referee will be assisted by his compatriots Nelson Pereira, Pedro Martins and Fábio Veríssimo, while André Narciso and Fábio Oliveira Melo will be in charge of VAR.

Panathinaikos are in 14th place in the Europa League, with nine points , tied with Celta Vigo (10th), Lille, Stuttgart, Plzen and Roma (15th), one point away from the zone that allows direct access to the Round of 16.
