After the derby at Luz, the referee leads an all-Portuguese delegation.
António Nobre has been appointed by UEFA to referee the Panathinaikos-Plzen match on Thursday (8 pm), for the sixth round of the Europa League group stage. The 37-year-old referee – originally from Caldas da Rainha and a translator by profession – officiated the derby at the Estádio da Luz between Benfica and Sporting (1-1) on Friday.
The Portuguese referee will be assisted by his compatriots Nelson Pereira, Pedro Martins and Fábio Veríssimo, while André Narciso and Fábio Oliveira Melo will be in charge of VAR.
