The Portuguese international opened the scoring, but Thierry Correia provided the assist for the equalizer.

In a match featuring Portuguese players, Valencia and Mallorca drew 1-1 on Friday night, in the 17th round of the Spanish league. While Thierry Correia and André Almeida started for Valencia, Samú Costa played the full 90 minutes for Mallorca and opened the scoring in the 23rd minute. In 16 games this season, the Portuguese midfielder and international has three goals.

In the second half, forward Hugo Duro restored parity in the 52nd minute, assisted by Thierry Correia. The 26=year=old full-back = formerly of Sporting and at Valencia since 2019 = provided his first assist of the season.

Thus, Mallorca remains in 14th place with 18 points, two ahead of Valencia (16th), who are only one point clear of the relegation zone.

Mallorca will kick off the new year at home against Girona (18th) on January 4th. The day before, Valencia will visit Celta Vigo (8th).
