The London club has updated Jesse Derry’s medical condition following his injury against Nottingham.

Chelsea updated Jesse Derry’s medical status on Tuesday, following the spectacular fall that caused the 18-year-old to lose consciousness during his debut for the London club.

Chelsea confirms that Jesse Derry was taken to hospital as a precaution following his substitution in the first half of Monday’s Premier League game against Nottingham Forest, the English club wrote.

Jesse is conscious, talking, and undergoing precautionary tests. We wish him a speedy recovery and thank the medical team for their prompt intervention, he added.

The English forward collapsed on the pitch after a clash of heads with Zach Abbott, which led to both players leaving the field in the first half.
Nottingham ended up winning 1-3 away to Chelsea.
