Ronaldo Tavares received terrible news. The forward, formerly of Estrela da Amadora, suffered a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee and will have to undergo surgery.
The information was confirmed by Athletic MG, the Brazilian team that the Portuguese player represents. The 28=year=old striker suffered the injury in the game against Nautico, this Monday, for the sixth round of the Brazilian II Liga.
The former Estrela da Amadora striker received the news at a time when he was having the best season of his career. The Portuguese player has 12 goals in 18 games this season. He is, in fact, the top scorer in the Brazilian second division.
