Two goals in the last five minutes determined the outcome of the semi=final.

After a 0-0 draw in the first leg in Como, Inter Milan took advantage of playing at home to beat the Lombardy team 3-2. An impressive result, considering Como were leading 2-0.

Martin Baturina and Lucas da Cunha (of Portuguese descent) scored the goals for Cesc Fabregas’ team. At the 48th minute, Como seemed headed for a historic Italian Cup final.

However, Inter had something to say. Turkish player Hakan Çalhanoglu reduced the deficit in the 69th minute, equalized in the 86th minute (with a header), and provided the assist for the winning goal in the 89th minute, scored by substitute Petar Sucic with a shot from the heart of the penalty area.

Inter, the 2023 Cup winners, await the outcome of the other semi=final between Nuno Tavares’ Lazio and Atalanta. The first leg ended in a 2-2 draw.
