The Portuguese international has been linked to Benfica since 2013.

Benfica announced this Friday the renewal of Silvestre Ferreira’s contract until 2029. The Portuguese winger is a national champion and one of the longest-serving players at the club, having started his connection in the youth ranks in 2013/14.

“It’s a source of pride to continue at this club, which has given me practically everything. It’s also perhaps a source of pride for my family and the people around me. Benfica gives us all the conditions to do our job, or to make our job easier. It’s an enormous pride to represent this club and this jersey,” emphasized the Eagles player.

I think he’s perhaps one of the few who went through practically the entire youth system, all the way to the Benfica first team. That’s what I want to pass on to the kids, that it’s also possible to follow this path, especially at the club of your heart,” he said about his long association with Benfica.

Silvestre Ferreira has 10 goals and 13 assists in the 27 games he has played for Benfica this season.
