The German team won 6-1 and can now think about the quarter-finals.

6-1 away from home . Bayern Munich secured a resounding victory at Atalanta’s home ground in Bergamo, in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16. Portuguese player Raphael Guerreiro entered the game in the 86th minute.

Vincent Kompany’s team started building their victory early, just 12 minutes in. Stanisic finished in the six-yard box after a well-worked corner by the Bavarians.

Then, Frenchman Michael Olise began to stand out, scoring two ‘Robben-style’ goals, moving from the wing to the middle. The first came in the 22nd minute.

Serge Gnabry scored the third goal in a quick transition play, and Nicolas Jackson fired a precise shot in the 52nd minute.

Olise’s second goal came in the 64th minute, in a move perhaps even more spectacular than the first, again reminiscent of the former Bayern Munich player. Alphonso Davies, the full-back who even provided an assist for one of the goals, ended up leaving the game in tears due to injury. It’s worth remembering that the Canadian has struggled with physical problems in recent years. Jamal Musiala scored the sixth goal after a fine piece of work by Nicolas Jackson on the wing, and Mario Pasalic sealed the victory with a consolation goal for Atalanta. Therefore, Bayern Munich can be completely relaxed for their home game against the Italians next week.
