The French and European champion chose not to appeal the decision of the Paris Labor Court.

Ordered by the Paris Labor Court to pay Kylian Mbappé €61 million in compensation, Paris Saint-Germain chose not to appeal the decision.

“Out of a sense of responsibility and to definitively end a process that has dragged on for a long time, the club has chosen not to prolong this litigation. Paris Saint-Germain is now fully focused on the future, concentrating on its sporting project and collective success,” the Parisian club said in a statement sent to the AFP news agency.

It should be recalled that on December 16, 2025, Paris Saint-Germain was ordered to pay almost 61 million euros to the now Real Madrid player, who was claiming unpaid wages, bonuses, and vacation pay after the termination of his contract in the summer of 2024.

At the time, the labor court made the sentence immediately enforceable, meaning that Paris Saint-Germain had to pay the amounts due immediately, even if it decided to appeal. Paris Saint-Germain had already transferred €55 million, but €5.9 million relating to vacation pay was still outstanding. According to a source close to the case, quoted by the French news agency, Paris Saint=Germain paid this amount this week.

According to the club where Portuguese internationals Gonçalo Ramos, João Neves, Nuno Mendes and Vitinha play, and despite the unfavorable decision, the labor court “rejected all the player’s allegations based on psychological harassment, undeclared work, reclassification to an open-ended contract, abusive contractual performance and breach of safety obligations = totally unfounded allegations.

He concluded: Paris Saint=Germain has always acted in good faith and with integrity, and will continue to do so. (…) The labor court also recognized in its ruling the existence of the verbal agreement between the parties, without, however, drawing any legal conclusions from it.
