Italian forward returns to Pescara, where he was very happy at the beginning of his career.

Without playing for six months, since leaving Toronto FC of Major League Soccer (MLS), Lorenzo Insigne is back in Italy. The 34=year=old forward was officially announced this Friday as a new signing for Pescara, one of the first clubs of his career.

Insigne was very happy at Pescara in 2011/12, on loan from Napoli, alongside names like Ciro Immobile and Marco Verratti. During that season, he scored 20 goals and provided 13 assists, making a decisive contribution to winning the Serie B title.

However, the situation is much more complicated at the moment. Pescara is last in the Italian second division, with only 14 points, six points away from the places that guarantee survival.

Furthermore, Insigne signed a contract until the end of the season and has the option to renew for another year if Pescara does not get relegated to Serie C.
