Former Portuguese international will combine his duties with the role of coach at Sanjoanense.

Reinaldo Ventura is preparing to be officially appointed as the national roller hockey coach.

At 47 years old, the former Portuguese international will combine his duties with the role of coach of Sanjoanense, succeeding Paulo Freitas. The official presentation will take place this Monday, starting at 2:30 pm, at the headquarters of the Portuguese Olympic Committee (COP).

On the table should be a three-season contract, with Reinaldo Ventura being joined by Marco Lopes and Hugo Silva, members of the Sanjoanense coaching staff. It’s worth remembering that in his first season in charge of the São João da Madeira club, the coach secured promotion to the first division, and in his second season he ensured their return to European competitions.

As a player, Reinaldo Ventura played for FC Porto, Óquei de Barcelos, Viareggio (Italy) and Trisino (Italy), before ending his career at Juventude de Viana.
