Portimao’s team beat Farense 1-0.

Portimonense went to Farense’s home ground and won the Algarve derby 1-0 , with a solitary goal from Tiago Mamede in the 59th minute.

Portimonense, who are not having an easy time in the second tier of Portuguese football, achieved their second consecutive victory and three important points in their fight for survival, since, with this win against Farense, the Portimão team provisionally climbed to 15th place .

Farense, who are on a run of four games without a win, wasted several goal-scoring opportunities and, with this defeat, remain in 11th place in the competition.

Still, the margin to the relegation zone is narrow, as the Algarve team has only three more points than 17th-placed FC Porto B, the first team below the relegation line.
