Tondela has confirmed the departure of Cristiano Bacci from his position as head coach. This Saturday, following the draw against AVS , news emerged of a disagreement between the coach and the club president, Gilberto Coimbra.

Despite confirming the end of the coach’s contract with the Beira team, the club denied that Bacci assaulted Gilberto Coimbra .

“We clearly and unequivocally deny any act of violence that occurred yesterday between coach Cristiano Bacci and President Gilberto Coimbra. What happened was nothing more than a heated exchange of words, in a context of emotional tension = as in so many other cases in football = but which, at no time, escalated into physical confrontation,” the club wrote in a statement.

Regarding the end of the cycle with the coach, Tondela left a message for Bacci. “We wish the coach and his technical team the best of personal and professional success,” it reads.
