There’s a Lisbon derby and the draw for the 2026 World Cup.

This Friday brings strong emotions for fans of Portuguese and world football. There’s Benfica-Sporting in the league. Internationally, the big event of the day is the draw for the 2026 World Cup, which takes place between the United States, Canada and Mexico.

In international football, there are also matches for the Spanish, German, and French leagues. There are also matches in the Liga Revelação (U-20 league).

In other sports, there are the semi-finals of the Women’s Futsal World Cup, where Portugal faces Argentina. Also in futsal, Benfica takes to the field for the Champions League. The European Short Course Swimming Championships also continue.
