McTominay and an own goal by Jankovic built the result.

It may sound strange, but by beating Qarabag (2-0) at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium , Napoli caught up with the Azerbaijani team in the Champions League group stage.

After a lackluster first half, the Italian champions raised their level after the break, managing to secure a well-deserved victory.

The ever-present McTominay scored the first goal in the 65th minute following a corner, and Jankovic scored an own goal in an unfortunate incident seven minutes later. Before that, in the 57th minute, Kochalski, the Azerbaijani team’s goalkeeper, made a flying save to deny a penalty taken by Hojlund.

Napoli, who hadn’t won in two Champions League matches, are now level on points with Qarabag, who have now gone three games without a win in the competition. Both teams have seven points after five matches.
