Golden State Warriors point guard becomes the player with the most games scoring 40 points or more after turning 30.

Stephen Curry became the basketball player with the most games scoring 40 or more points in NBA history in the early hours of this morning, after turning 30, surpassing Michael Jordan’s record.

In his second game after returning from injury, the Golden State Warriors point guard scored 48 points, which, however, were insufficient to secure a home victory against the Portland Trail Blazers (136-131).

Curry, currently 37 years old, reached his 45th game with at least 40 points after celebrating his 30th birthday, surpassing the record previously achieved by Michael Jordan.

The best shooter in NBA history, Curry also achieved his fifth game with 12 or more three-pointers made, a feat accomplished by only six other players, with only Klay Thompson, his former teammate, having multiple games with this number (three).

However, the Warriors had never lost a game in which the point guard made 12 three-pointers, and this was their eighth loss in 28 games where “chef” Curry made 10 shots beyond the arc.
