Rugby: Portugal debuts in the 2027 World Cup against Ireland.

The wolves will participate in the World Championship for the third time.

Portugal learned this Monday that it will face Ireland in its opening match of the 2027 Rugby World Cup. The inaugural game for the Portuguese will take place on October 4th.

The competition, which takes place in Australia, will be held between October 1 and November 13, 2027.

Portugal will participate in the competition for the third time. In the last edition, it should be remembered, the Wolves achieved their first ever victory against Fiji.

Group D, which includes the National Team, also has the national teams of Ireland, Scotland, and Uruguay. 

In the second round, Portugal faces Uruguay (October 11) and in the last round they will face Scotland (October 17).

Ticket pre=sales begin on the 18th, confirmed the world rugby governing body. Prices start at $40 (23 euros).

This will be the first World Cup with expanded participation of 24 teams, distributed into six groups.
