premier … International Cup: Sporting B beat West Ham under-21s

Sporting B won their away game against West Ham’s under-21 team in the Premier League International Cup (2-1).

On Wednesday night, in the third round of Group D, defender Lucas Taibo opened the scoring in the eighth minute. Although midfielder Lewis Orford equalized in the 18th minute, Sporting’s lead was restored in the 45+3 minute by 17-year-old winger Chris Grombahi.

Thus, the Lions secured their first victory in three games, taking three points in fifth place in Group D, four behind leaders Sunderland. Their return to this competition is scheduled for January 20th (7pm), when they visit Manchester United (6th).
