A 3-0 victory over Juventude leaves Santos with a two-point advantage over Vitória, the first club in the relegation zone in the Brazilian Championship.
Neymar once again donned the hero’s cape and delivered a second consecutive victory for Santos , in their away match against Juventude, with a hat-trick scored in 16 minutes.
Starting for the visiting team, the Brazilian international only left the field in the final minutes of the match, and continues to play with a meniscus problem. The first half ended goalless and the home team even had some momentum, but everything changed after the break.
In the 56th minute, Neymar received a pass from Guilherme and scored to make it 1-0, and ended up scoring his second goal in the 65th minute, assisted by Igor Vinícius. The icing on the cake came midway through the second half, when the 33=year=old forward was awarded a penalty and scored to make it 3-0.
This victory leaves Santos with 44 points and in 14th position, two points ahead of Vitória, the club that occupies the first of the four relegation places in the championship.
