Mirassol and a former Sporting player stand out in the team ….

Mirassol’s historic season, which saw them qualify for the Libertadores for the first time the year after their promotion to the Brazilian Série A, was reflected in their selection as the best players in the Brasileirão in 2025, at the 56th edition of the Bola de Prata gala, organized by ESPN.

Based on journalists’ assessments of the footballers who competed in the championship this year, the ideal team includes two Mirassol players, goalkeeper Walter and left-back Reinaldo, as well as the coach of Leão da Alta , Rafael Guanaes.

Cruzeiro, however, is the club with the most representatives in the Team of the Year, with the presence of defender Fabrício Bruno, midfielders Lucas Romero and Matheus Pereira (formerly of Sporting and Desp. Chaves), and forward Kaio Jorge, who was the top scorer in the competition with 21 goals.

The best player of the year was Giorgian De Arrascaeta, one of three players from the champion Flamengo team. The others were Léo Pereira and Pedro.
