The French forward underwent an MRI scan this Wednesday after experiencing discomfort in his knee during the final games of the year. According to the Spanish and French press, Mbappé is expected to be sidelined for at least three weeks.

Therefore, the 27=year=old player will miss the Spanish Super Cup, which takes place in Saudi Arabia between January 7th and 11th.

Remember that Benfica will host Real Madrid at the Estádio da Luz on January 28th, in the final match of the Champions League group stage.
