Kairat supporters went to Copenhagen… and they received a gift.

From Almaty, Kazakhstan, to Copenhagen, Denmark, the distance is about five thousand kilometers. Practically the same distance that separates Lisbon from New York. But that didn’t deter a dozen loyal fans of the Kazakh club.

Before the game, Copenhagen’s management wanted to honor the ten rival fans who traveled to Parken Stadium in the Nordic capital. They were able to step onto the pitch and even received a souvenir.

The best memory would certainly be a victory. But Kairat Almaty ended up losing 3-2, despite putting up a good fight. The Kazakh team remains with only one point in the competition, the same as Villarreal and one more than Ajax.
