João Cancelo underwent medical and physical tests and will be officially announced as a Barcelona player this Tuesday.

The signing, the Catalan club announced, is scheduled for 1:00 PM local time (12:00 PM in mainland Portugal), and a press conference will be held at 1:30 PM.

João Cancelo, who landed in Barcelona on Monday , returns to Barça a year and a half after playing there on loan from Manchester City, where he made a total of 42 appearances, scoring four goals and providing five assists.

The Portuguese international arrives at the Spanish club on loan from Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, for whom he made only six appearances in the 2025/26 season.
